What I Bought From Beautycounter

September 20, 2019

Believe it or not, one of the top messages that I receive on Instagram is about what to order from Beautycounter. Beautycounter is everywhere from the New York Times to Vogue. Instagram personalities and fashion bloggers talk about which favorite products they’re using constantly. It is a little difficult to go about your normal social media venture and not see a glimpse of what Beautycounter has to offer, but although online shopping reigns in the fashion industry, women are still hesitant to buy makeup online. I totally understand this because without having an opportunity to see coloring or texture in person, it can be really difficult to make up your mind or pull the trigger. Knowing what other normal people use from Beautycounter and how they use it gives us the confidence to go for it. I am more than happy to share my favorites and what I just ordered this week!

So, I’ll start with some bad(ish) news. There is almost always shipping UNLESS you are a Band of Beauty Member (even consultants like me pay to ship). If you think that you will order more than twice a year from Beautycounter then purchasing Band of Beauty for $29 is so. worth. it. The membership pays for itself in two orders by giving you free shipping on orders of $100+, 10% product credit back for each order, and some free goodies with your purchase! If you purchase Band of Beauty through me by ordering from my Beautycounter website and spend $150, I will reimburse you for your membership! The good news, although I just sweetened it up for ya, is that Beautycounter lets you return within 60 days for those couple of things you might try and go, “ehh, I don’t know.”

Anyway, on to the good stuff like what I just bought! There are a lot of products because I like to buy in bulk as best as I can. I know my favorites and stock up before I run out of anything, but I also like to incorporate some new things in there as well just to test things out for myself. Also, worth mentioning that I do not only buy Beautycounter cosmetics. I also love shopping at Follain and do the same exact thing there with my go tos like RMS Beauty and Indie Lee!

What I bought:

Daily Shampoo & Daily Conditioner: I got hooked during the second half of my honeymoon in Sonoma. Our Airbnb host was not only an incredible interior designer, but she also had amazing taste in clean cosmetics and wanted to share! My husband and I had been searching high and low for clean shampoo that we both love and this is it!!

Countermatch Adaptive Moisture Lotion: Skincare is so personal, but I have been using this moisturizer since recommending to a client with sensitive skin. This moisturizer goes on super light but is hydrating. Plus, I love the very subtle green tea scent.

Countermatch Recovery Sleeping Cream: Since I love the day lotion in this line I thought I would try the same thing in the night version for those days that I need some more moisture.

Illuminating Cream Highlighter – Bronze Glow: I loooove the Radiant All Over Bronzer in Dune so I thought it would be fun to try a stick bronzer.

Nice Do Kids Shampoo & Nice Do Kids Conditioner: I don’t have kids, but these make great gifts for baby showers or Christmas.

Counter+ Overnight Resurfacing Peel: This is a cult favorite and for good reason. It makes your pores tighter and gives you an overall glow. It is seriously like magic in a bottle. Mine has lasted for a very long time since it is only used once or twice a week. Plus, they just repackaged it so that it is in a beautiful, sustainable glass!

Volumizing Mascara: I like their Lengthening Mascara because I don’t like a lot of stuff on my eyelashes. I just want my mascara to tint my blond eyelashes black. I’ve heard from friends that the Volumizing version is better so I thought I’d try it! I love RMS Beauty and never want to steer anyone away from it, but I was using their mascara religiously and my eyes started to itch a lot even when I switched it out quickly. Beautycounter mascara doesn’t make my eyes itchy so it’s a win for me! I still use RMS’ Un-Coverup more than any other beauty product I own though!

Davids Premium Natural Toothpaste: Clean toothpaste that is an actual toothpaste texture with a yummy mint flavor in a recyclable metal tube.

Color Intense Lipstick in Backstage: So excited to try this! I never ever thought that lipstick looked good on me until I tried the Sheer Lipstick in Terra. I have olive-colored skin that doesn’t get out in the sun much due to office life so finding colors that work well for me can be a difficult task. The other lipstick that I have is sheer so it is not super pigmented but gives me a nice color boost. Great for swiping on before heading out the door to make yourself look a bit more pulled together. This time, I wanted to try something with more pigment but still in that same earthy brown and pink color family. I’m hoping to love Backstage as much as I do Terra so my lifelong battle of searching for lipstick will end!

Countertime samples: I am finally able to order Countertime samples! Let me know if you’re interested?! I’m going to be trying some for myself because I’ve heard great things, especially from my pregnant and nursing friends that want an anti-aging product that is retinol strength without the harmful retinol!
